Words 'N Motion provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to the evaluation process. Our team is comprised of certified, licensed, and experienced education and health care professionals in the areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and special education.


Dr. Selina Cali, MSPT, DPT


Dr. Cali is a physical therapist, licensed in both New York and New Jersey. She was awarded her master’s degree in physical therapy from the College of Staten Island and a post-professional doctoral degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Professional Credits include:

- Outpatient Orthopedics (adult & pediatric clients)
- Early intervention; ages 0-3 (home and center based services)
- Related services; ages 3+ (home and center based services)
- Hippotherapy provider
- APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) member

Dr. Cali frequently attends continuing education courses and acts as a clinical instructor to new “prospective” physical therapists in efforts to broaden and enlarge her knowledge base in order to better serve her field and the community.

Dr. Cali strives to educate, motivate, and promote awareness of the importance of health and wellness / fitness through parent and child education while simultaneously encouraging movement and activity in a safe and FUN manner.


Holly Alavanja, MA, CCC-SLP, SBL

Holly is an ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) certified and experienced speech language pathologist and teacher of speech and hearing (TSHH), licensed in both New York and New Jersey. Her clinical experience includes but is not limited to: oral motor exercise, prompt, feeding therapy/eating disorders, articulation/phonological delay, pragmatics, expressive-receptive language delay/disorder, apraxia of speech, dysfluencies, phonics/ reading remediation & reading readiness skills. In addition to 17 years+ experience, Holly’s professional credits include:

- Early intervention; ages 0-3 (home and center based services)
- Adult rehabilitation
- Related services; ages 3+ (home and center based services)
- Licensed Early Childhood Teacher (Pre-K – 6th grade)
- School Building Leader (SBL)

Holly attends continuing education courses and regularly shares her expertise by serving as a clinical instructor to prospective speech (student) pathologists.
